Well, it's been one week since I started my bulb-forcing experiment, and it is going well so far. Within a few days roots appeared on all of the iris bulbs and now green shoots are popping out. However, the Peruvian daffodil is not doing as well, showing no signs of growth so far. I'll keep an eye on it and may have to pull it out soon before it begins to mold.
So to summarize so far, Dutch iris bulbs = good for forcing, Peruvian daffodil = not looking good. I'll post some pictures when there is a bit more to show.
